It worried me that Sony hadn't let any journalists go hands-on with Ghost prior to the reviews, and that the embargo's just two days before launch. That's rare. Sony likes to give a week or more prior to launch for triple-As they're very confident in - The Last of Us 2, Spider-Man, God of War - so two days kinda' says something.
And while some critics have what feel like very "that's a you problem" specific complaints about the world feeling empty, others describe the game as pretty darned fun overall with some pretty shallow stealth. Shame about that stealth, but if the game is indeed running on Horizon's Decima engine, stealth was never a super-strong aspect of the game design - only a ridiculously powerful way to spec your Aloy.
I read a bunch of the reviews today, and the two I like best are, weirdly, videos. IGN's (didn't see that coming either) and Easy Allies'. So here they be!
On my end, I'm kinda' done with this. I am fed up with not playing Ghost of Tsushima any more, and there's only so long I can distract myself with other concerns.
I See You (2019, the Helen Hunt one) was actually kinda' pretty interesting and I enjoyed the ultimate payoff, despite an intensely boring second act. And that only got me off Ghost reviews for like ninety minutes.
What am I gonna' DO?!
