Why didn’t Square Enix just produce a new Mana game? There’s a lot to like about this Secret of Mana remake. It’s gorgeous. It’s bright. It’s charming. But it’s not the original Secret of Mana. It’s not surprising that it can't match the original Secret of Mana; that is one of the greatest games ever made. And that’s why you can’t just remake it by throwing some 3D art together like that modernises it.
